This week, our guest Claire Halstead discusses her research on British child evacuees in World War II. Claire is in her final year of the history PhD program at Western University and is doing incredible work in compiling a database with the identities and stories of these British youth sent to Canada to escape the war in Britain. The stories Claire tells us from the letters she's read by these child evacuees range from sweet to heart-wrenching. Listen to the full story here.
